DeepClean Extra - Vertical - Sloping Top or Floor to Ceiling
Whilst vertical radiators offer the space-saving advantages that standard LSTs perhaps do not, the standard grilles do pose a ligature risk. This is particularly important to note when working in mental health, challenging and secure environments where service users are vulnerable to self-harming tendencies.
With its 2mm holes at 4mm centres punched directly into the radiator guard, the risk of users securing rope or cord around an anchor point is greatly reduced.
Contour’s vertical anti-ligature radiator incorporates BioCote® anti-microbial protection to ensure safety standards for hygiene are met. The presence of the anti-microbial technology offers a 99.99% reduction in bacteria levels in under 2 hours.
Contour have developed two designs of casing for the vertical range:
Sloping Top
The sloping top design allows for a vertical radiator to be installed where there is not enough width for a conventional radiator. The sloping top design utilises all of the features of the DeepClean Extra design, with additional strengthening struts on the cover's front face to help cope with demanding environments.
This design is best suited where the pipework is entering from below the radiator or at low level.
Floor to Ceiling
Depending on the environment, pipework layout or ceiling heights, the floor to ceiling design makes sure that all services are covered up.
The floor to ceiling design allows for the pipework to enter from the ceiling directly into the casing giving the designers and installers more flexibility when dealing with awkward spaces to fit a radiator into.
The top collar allows for uneven floors and ceilings.
Additional strengthening struts in the front face of the door adds strength to help cope with demanding environments.
Key Features
Whether it’s the full drop down door or the IP3X grilles, the DeepClean Extra radiator boasts numerous benefits to the user. Combined with its BioCote® anti-microbial technology, they make for the perfect solution in hygiene control.
Magnelis steel can be chosen for wet and humid environments such as en suite bathrooms.
